May I correct you about the anchor...

When you drive the anchor down, the ship stops. The pictures you posted are of a ship in a silly situation where they are going at a unneeded speed while dropping anchor.

Like he said "Driving with anchor down" meaning "Sailing with anchor down",

I really don't see any reason for that post of yours you know  ::)

aaaah I see. I thought driving was the proffesional word for lowering the anchor. I mean you cant say "put the anchor down" or "get the anchor down" so I though drive bust be the professional word.

yeah anyway

Brings up an interesting point though. The use of the anchors during game play are not as in real life. You should still be able to make headway or sternway with the anchors down depending on the scope of chain that is laid out. I know that is getting a little nit picky but I've even tried to use the anchor to turn the tanker which is common practise in real life but was unable to do so.

Here's a little trick that you might want to try if you're bored in MP;

While doing full speed with any ship (Works best with Vermaas or Latitude) click the anchor symbol (It should say "Please Slow to under 5kn" or similiar. However, place your mouse over where the blue anchor circle would be if you were doing under 5kn, and press F5. At the moment you press F5, the blue circle should flash up for half a second no matter what speed you're doing. So..., press F5 again, and at the same time, click on the blue circle with your mouse, and the anchors should fall. Pretty amazing to do with a Container Ship at 25kn...

That sort of reminds me of the sinkings of Britannic and Lusitania, up to the point before this titanic capsizes of course ;)

lol, the titanic one reminds me,

If anyone is going to yet again make another video of titanic sinking, historically, then doing the anchor thing, if you can get both anchors down fast enough so it goes down straight, might make it look more realistic, well, still missing the breaking, but, for the begging maybe a little better ^^

I was trying different boats with the anchor trick, and I wanted to ty the duck, which is super fast, or the speed boat, but they don' have anchors :P I figured they would go flying.

Well, at last I know how to get a screenshot of Titanic's stern in the air just like what happened to her for a few seconds  ;D (sorry, but I haven't got the screenshot at the moment).

I attemped to create a "Posiedon Adventure" with the Titanic, but it didn't work, even in stormy seas.  Same attempt on other vessels a failure.... :(  Well...except for the Jumbo Javelin.

I tried it with the Sherpa, didn't work.  It only works best with PoR, Vermass, Latiude, and Titanic.
