Another weird and futurstic-looking vessel from the 1950s:
This is the Royal Iris, she was built in 1950 by Denny's of Dumbarton in Scotland. She was used to ferry passengers across the Mersey in Liverpool, and offered the occasional cruises.
This vessel is currently laid up on the River Thames (near the Woolwich Ferry) and sadly is in a very poor condition. I wouldn't be surprised if she end up being scrapped in a few years time.
