A few questions from a newbie.
« on: December 22, 2008, 04:57:35 »

Hello...I just joined.  This is a very fun simulator.  I just did a couple missions around the SF Bay where I live.  I captain a research vessel for a living.  It was fun seeing an SF Bay simulation.  The throttle/rudder inputs and responses are very realistic.  I have a number if ideas for improvement if it interests anyone.

I see that I need to download a number of different ships in order to play a number of different scenarios.  Where do I download these ships?

When are people typically playing multiplayer?

I am having a difficult time running lines ashore.  What is the procedure for doing this?  What do the red X's mean?

Thanks much

The vessels are add ons that you must buys, ecept for Jumb Javelin, which you can get by going to your forum profile and downloading it for free.
People are on MP(Multiplayer, just so you know) at all times, since everyone is from different parts of the world and have different time zones than you.
Running lines ashore is easy, you just click on the mooring button on the bottom menu bar and click on the bollard. first you must pick the orange circle that you want the vessels lines to start from and then click the bollard on shore that you want to connect to. the red x's are just what you click on to throw the lines.

Hi cpt Morgan, welcome aboard.. :)
Some ships are included in New Horizons, such as the Agile Solution and the Ocean Star
If you do not have New Horizons, you can purschase those ships here, and others..
The Jumbo Javelin is free.. ;)
