Red Jet 4
« on: November 14, 2008, 13:37:30 »

Can anyone please tell me where I can download Red Jet 4? I need it for the Hamburg mission tour. I've searched the forum but can't find a place where I can download.

Thanks in advance to all who reply.

Hello Bill,

Red Jet 4 is a stock SS2008 vessel, it should be right there in your game allready.

Fred,

Now I feel stupid. Where I'm confused is when I try and run the "Guided Harbor Trip In Hamburg" mission it tells me that it requires ships that are not included in my version of Ship Simulator. The Player ships in the mission are listed as the Red Jet 4. I have SSM 2008 version 1.4.2 build 1038. What am I missing?

Thanks Bill

Hi Bill,

Don't feel stupid, it's a perfectly reasonable and logical question considering you encountered this 'error' like that.

I don't know all the mission names by heart, is this a stock mission, or a custom mission?

If the latter is true, then it could be that the mission creator included one or more addon ships, from the New Horizons package, or downloaded from the Shipyard. If you do not have it/them installed, the mission can't be played.

But if it is a mission that came with the game you have installed, then it shouldn't give you such an error. Not uless there's something strange going on.  :)

Fred

Fred,

It's a custom mission. Is there a way to find out what ships the error is referring to? Maybe someone who is familar with the mission can reply to this thread. If not maybe I start another thread with a different Subject.

Thank You.

Hi Bill,

I will go and try to find you an answer to this question.

most likely it's a New Horizons vessel. I'll get back to you on this in a bit.

Fred

* Edit * I cannot locate the mission you mention in the list to be honest, do you have the exact title for me? (I might have overlooked though, but I didn't see that title you quoted)

Hi Fred & Bill
That is Michael’s tour of his home town. Red Jet’s are the only player ships listed at the start. I will open it in the editor to see what AI or static ships needed.
Bill, the quickest way to see what ships you actually have available is to go to Free Roaming ship selection. You will see a list of available player ships. When you find the one you want in the list, you can confirm that you have a working copy by selecting it.
Red Jet is listed as “Fast Ferry…”
More later

Hi Fred & Bill
The recent AI ships needed are Hercules Atlas and Agile Solution.
Static ships include Ocean Star, Bug2, Northern Star, and the Portoferraio Angel.

Marty and Fred,

Thank you both for your quick replies and help. As you may have figured out I'm new to using Ship Simulator although I've had it for awhile. Is there a place to go to get these ships? Or are they part of another package?

Not trying to make a pain of myself. But still in a learning curve.

Thank You.

Heya Jacob,

I've been munching on those yummy cymbals way too often. They all fell out. Made a nice necklace out of them though...   :P
