My Absoloute favourites are: all Royal Carribean ships, especially the freedom class-I love them, there all beautiful
Of course the QM2, As I love Cunard but especially that
Other ships that I like include:
all the 'grand' class ships from Princess cruise + P&O Ventura-In other words the ships with the straight sterns, I like them
The New Carnival dream, great ship, even if it does have a large forehead
I also like the new MSC ships, fantasia and splendida
Ocean Village 2-Ive had a cruise on it, lovely ship
The Celebrity Solstice
and the yachts of seabourn

I like all the major cruise ship companies aswell, Including all those owned by Carnival corp.

Please forgive me for that lengthy list and lack of pics, but here are my two favourites, and yes they are the two largest in the world:

Titanic was an ocean liner. They differ from cruise ships. Ocean liners are built for speed with slim hulls etc. Cruise ships are built for calmer waters and are not built for say transatlantic service. Speed is not there main aim, Its about luxury and fun. The first proper cruise ships didn't come in until about the sixties, and its been cruise ships all the way pretty much ever since. The difference being QM2, which is an ocean liner mainly but has cruise ship characteristics like a wider hull for example. But now Im waffling, so ill stop. Although you do have a point when you tell him not to post, I mean if your not interested in the topic why post? (No offence TE)

I'm just saying that I'm not into cruise ships.  I find ocean liners more interesting than those "floating boxes of steel" we call cruise ships.

I have two favorites. :D Both are ocean liners. One is no longer with us. :(

The Normandie was arguably the most beautiful ocean liner to ever grace the sea. She is, simply put, the only ship I have ever seen that had no bad angles. You could have viewed her from above, side, below...every angle was pure art.

The SS United States was the absolute pinnacle of engineering and safety. A more handsome ship then dead-Spambot like the Normandie.

First of all, cruise ships are floating steel boxes.  Ocean liners are like knives cutting through the water.  Cruise ships are basicly barges pushing water out of the way.

Well Ok then, although I disagree with 'floating steel boxes' but hey, we all have our opinions

How about we all go away from this argument over which are better ocean liners or cruise ships and just go back to what this post was originally for. i know I started this argument but now I'm ending it.
