Actually, it makes it easier to operate the crane.
Moving the crane slowly by a small amount is very difficult to do with the keys.
This deliberate feature allows fine positioning without introducing wild swinging.
Like many other activities, operating the crane requires learning and practice.

Who here finds it irritating tha the container crane in ss08 keeps slowly moving backwars while your trying to pick-up or lower a container?
