yes well, ...i've seen a few as well, in 2008. the A.I in these sims don't seem to be ,well, coordinated. some just seem to run right up front of my ship as if to well.(ahem).

Hi.

Yes, the AI vessels in SS06 are "brain dead". They just follow their pre-determined tracks without any concern for others. Get in the way and they will happily (merrily at this time of year) run you down.

The AI in SS08 have been improved. Although they don't yet follow the "Rules of the Road" regarding give way vessel etc, the AIs do at least try to slow down, rather than run you down. With varying levels of success, of course.
