Indus- a reference of VSTEP's other sim?
« on: September 21, 2008, 09:56:13 »

As most of us probably know, when you view the Vermaas from a great enough distance away for the ship design to simplify some (decrease poly count a bit), its name turns from "ADF Vermaas" to "ADF Indus"

Looking up "Indus" on shipspotting.com brough this picture up as the first result:

It also says this is another picture of the same ship:

These pictures show a ship that is identical to a ship another user reported seeing in another thread of a "mysterious ship" that turned out to be one of the ships from VSTEP's rescue sim.

It seems Vermaas's "distance name" is a reference to that ship from the company's other major simulator.

Your thoughts?

My thoughts; VSTEP changed the name from Indus to Vermaas as a tribute to one of the developers:

Already 2 topics on this:

Indeed, the originally intended name has been discussed a few times before. A forum search is never a bad idea.  ;)

I'll lock this one.
