If I max out the hoover craft, shouldn't it be able to go faster than about 8 knots?

What Do I do wrong?

Hi Jocce,
Hoovercraft? Have we a floating vacuum cleaner in the sim?
Sorry about that; I tried to resist, but the devil made me do it.

On the hovercraft, you must inflate the skirt by advancing the leftmost throttle all the way up.
If the skirt is not up, you can force a speed of only 7-8 kt over water.

Another user has reported an inability to raise the skirt. We will get back to you when we sort his problem.
You can download info.pdf, which has instructions for the hovercraft and other things, from here:

Hi Dawg,
I’m not sure he would understand—the Swedish word for Hoover is Electrolux.
Marty

Actually, the original Electrolux tank vacuums were a lot more seaworthy than the Hoovers, which tended to sink like a rock.

Hi Jocce,
You have not said whether you have been able to raise the skirt by advancing the skirt fan throttle.
If the skirt will not rise, you may find this topic of help:

Ah ok, I'm out travelling right now, is there anyway I can access the key from inside the game?
