I found the Pride of Rotterdam's rate of turn has changed drastically, it's alot slower.
The change is indeed impressive.
Stopped, bowthruster at 100%, the RoT is 6°/min (half an hour for a half turn...)
Stopped, full rudder, one engine 100% forward, the other 100% astern gives a RoT 20°/min
Ahead full, full rudder stabilises speed around 16 kts and RoT around 72°/min, and consequently a turning circle diameter of around 780m, probably realistic enough.
There is no "prop wash" (screw knuckle, kick ?) at all to ease the steerage at low speeds like it should be, but it is the same for all ships, I think.
Regards,
Luc
The turning circle diameter has also become more independant of speed, which is positive.
