I really do imagine "interactive" as in literally.
Engine sounds doesn't cover radio station and just ambient chatting. I'm turning the speaker loud enough just wondering where all the birds gone?
I wonder "human conversation" is a key in interactive value.
Beach? I don't imagine a piece of sand texture plastered all over the terrain and put some trees over it to call it a beach.
Empty boat is a decline in game software sales. Developer's "add-on" put the word "more financial option" instead buying a single game. You can push the game (who knows in the next version) to include all these even in 2-3 installation DVDs to accomodate all the good looking stuffs. I wouldn't mind to pay even 50 bucks just to get it all in one game.
I can't imagine successfull game like Modern Warfare 2 (of course a different genre) just to have guns and target practice with nothing more "interactive" in it. In fact ship sim extreme got more promising future than it is just by including simple, no serious programming, like radio stations, skeleton crews, simple conversation played over and over again.
well........... dunno if these key points run aground. But I do hope it will be someday.
