The main reason for using a publisher is that they specialise in selling the product for you, obviously. They also will buy XYZ amount of the product and pay in one lump sum. Unfortunately, they deduct quite an amount of the total sale value for doing so.

When a product is new, such as 06 was, it is necessary to convince a possibly sceptic or even hostile retailer. With a publisher, you only need to persuade one publisher it's a winner and then THEY arrange for the retailer to sell it. When you have an existing product with an existing customer base it is a lot easier to sell directly to the consumer, which Vstep already does.

So, my bet is that they bypass the publisher altogether and sell directly to the retailer/end user. Of course I could be wrong, which can sometimes- rarely- happen.
