Oh, Well I just ended up posting in the Talk section. The problem was, They got Titanic's length all wrong. It wasn't 882' 6". (Though many think so) Back at the TRMA it is common knowledge that it was actually 882' 9".
At what temperature? 7
If the length was measured at say freezing point and again on a summer's day in Blfast when it was 75F, how much difference would there be?
Which bit of Titanic was measured?
What measuring equipment was used?
Was it properly calibrated? (e.g tape measures stretch when used)
On what dates were these different measurements made?
All of these data are needed before anyone can claim to know the "correct" length, surely?
