Registering to get Download Content problems

Hi,

I have entered in my activation code for Ship Simulator Extremes (Steam version 1.3) on my profile on this forum to access the download content in the game but it still isn't working. 
Is there anything else I need to do to get it to work so I can access the download area on the game?

Can you please explain why you're trying to do more precisely, and what sort of error message you get ?

When in the download section within SSE, be sure to have cleared all filters (have nothing selected in the filters), and also try clicking on the "Refresh" button.

Also make sure to allow "QuestViewer.exe" (which is SSE's main executable) has access to connect to the internet in your Firewall's permission / allow list.

There was a problem similar to yours and this was the reply from another member assisting him.

Edit: Go into Steam, there should be a CD Key button, it will bring up the key - press copy to clipboard, then paste into your account

Hi,
Thanks for all your replys.
The problem is with the download content of SSE.
It displays an "Error Connecting to the server, please register your licence key on the forum".
I have gone into my profile in this forum and added the licence key I got with SSE and it has registered the game on my profile, but when playing SSE and going to the Download Content menu I still get the error message.

I will try the solutions you have posted and see if they solve the issue.

Just to update the issue:
Problem has been solved, Steam has a CD key that is different to the Activation code on the back of the manual. 
Using the activation code does register the game on the forum but gives the error message.
Unregistering the activation code and registering the CD key on the forum profile has sorted the issue.
