Freedom 90 does 45 knots  ;)

http://www.jameshovercraft.co.uk/hover/html/ap188.htm

And can do 60knots if she feels like it...

I used the "Original BHC Information Brochure" referenced in the James' Hovercraft Site: Hoverwork, and the graph of the speed vs sea state and full load, alas the graph for the first version. I wasn't able to retrieve the old original site that had many details about both versions, and had to rely on the specifications I already had. If you have a better source, I would be pleased if you could send me the references.

Well, the Hoverworks Webiste states about it doing 60 knots on a trial

It was modified in 1999

I see, thanks, with 50% more power also than with the previous motorisation, explaining indeed the speed increase. It will change to 45 knots, unless it should give a problem with a mission, but I suppose not. Perhaps waiting a little bit, to see if there are no other comments about Freedom90 performances?

Well sadly the two other chaps who would know both have been... sent out...

But she no longer is the hard beast to control like she was in SS08 - there you used the rudders and she sent you spinning...

Though since I have never actually controlled a real AP1-88, I cannot say if this was realistic...

Would like the amphibiousness back though...  ;)

Small hovercraft can indeed spin rather fast due to their weight distribution, but as the course stability of AP1-188/Freedom90 was improved by an increase of the trim, and after that a modification of the skirt at the rear to increase its life, it must not be able to really spin, at all.
For Freedom 90 being able to climb at landing pads is indeed not possible now, a solution will certainly be found.
