People often don't realise how hard it is to get the permissions and contracs sorted before work on that even starts..  ;)

Surely if the PoR got the thumbs up? Saying that P&O did change hands since permission was given ???

Well, maybe they do not want a second vessel of them in the game so they don't have too many different youtube clips of their material being sunk... who knows..

I wonder will Sea Shepherd ever get their hands on the Alaskan Rainbow? Seems like a good 'patroling' vessel

Maybe we should be responsible good forum users and set an example by....

I wonder will Sea Sheperd ever get their hands on a seamanship guide...  ::)

Anyway, yeah indeed, please let's stick to the topic, and have the casual chit-chat in the Cookie-Box!  Thanks LV.

I think that's one of the main reasons why some shipping companies are reluctant to have their vessel in a Ship Simulator game, cos it's not good for their PR image.

Well I'm not sure if this part of the list has been posted here before, but watching the E3 Gamers walkthrough in HD on fullscreen, I saw some of the ship names in mission editor.

Jumbo Javilen
Latitude
Mamba?
Mare Australe?
Ocean Prince
Orient Star
P6
Pride of Rotterdam
Protector
Rainbow Warrior III
Red Eagle
Red Jet 4
RPA12

I saw this and just figure I'd share what can be seen. And of course we know of more, but this is possibly in game official :)

Mamba?

Mare Australe?

Well i found just these:

M/Y Mamba: A luxury motor yacht

M/S Mare Australis: Smaller class cruise ship ( nice for the Antartic )

What are those ships?? I havent heard about that... some hiden ships.  ;)

You have the point Fred so that will be a surprise when we install the game! And a quite good surprise

Kind regards.

Well the text was still a bit blury so I might have read it wrong :p Fred is right saying we won't officially know until release. These ships are just in the mission editor in the E3 report  of SSE

But remember, there are 32 vessels in the game. and in SS08 we had "13 vessels" and the NH add on. So we won't know it all, some ships may be hidden :P We know that for new vessels we have the Coast Guard, RHIBs and more. But maybe we have hidden vessels. Only one way to find out. Play the game :) I'm sure that I'll be looking through the ship list on the first day.

Hi Captain Mitch,

I’m sorry, but Mamba is not a yacht.
But you can sail Mare Australe in SS08 under a different name. She is in a SuperPack.

Marty

Hello!

I’m sorry, but Mamba is not a yacht

It is, on the picture i posted there is a m/y Mamba. That black smaller yacht is called Mamba.

But you can sail Mare Australe in SS08 under a different name. She is in a SuperPack.

A different name? Mare Australe? What is the name of these vessel in Ship Simulator 2008 in super pack??

About the vessel & Envirorments in Ship Simulator 2008:

All vessels including New Horizonts - Elbe - Furie - Jumbo javelin - WITH modeled AI ships = 32
All vessels including New Horizonts - Elbe - Furie - Jumbo Javelin - WITHOUT modeled AI ships = 27
All vessels indluding New Horizonts -WITHOUT Elbe - Furie - Jumbo Javelin - modeled AI ships = 24
All vessels WITHOUT New Horizonts - Elbe - Furie - Jumbo javelin - modeled AI ships = 16

Envirorments WITH New Horizonts = 16
Envirorments WITHOUT New Horizonts = 15 ( Padstow Cornwall )

So the original version of Ship Simulator 2008 had 16 vessels in it, and the Ship Simulator Extremes will have 32 ships? That is a real progress.

But i don't think there will be some hiden vessels, they probably included all the vessels from New Horizonts, so then we are on the number of 24 ships, so maybe then we have some new ships or all these ships what developers have made from AI ships will now be playable.

But, who know... we will know that when the game is released!

Many kind regards.
Captain. Mitch

I've just counted the ships in my SS2008 game and I have 32

I think Mvsmith forgot to post the name of the ship!  :P  The Mare Australe in SS2008 I believe was called Selsey III and later renamed to the MV Horst Thonsen?  ??? Correct me if I'm wrong

Oh yeah, the AI ship Selsey III. Then i know that ship, it can be downloaded from "The Shipyard".

I have 32 ships to, so i think there will not be some hiden ships, we just know for CostGuard, Dinghy and some others...

Kind regards.

No there won't be any hidden ships I don't think, but the supposedly '32' vessels in Ship Sim Extremes may mean that not all of those 32 vessels will be playable.

Some of them are bound to be AI and static vessels :)
