I'm wondering. The updated the Website, made news of the release date and pre-ordering, and a contest on Going aboard the Rainbow Warrior III, and no Demo? Other than that, they got good pictures of an Antarctic port with improved icebergs, and added snow. They also improved the light rays hitting the hull for improved shadow effects. VStep is doing a good job on creating the game. I'm kinda got bored of Titanic but might continue to like her if in SSE. But all we have to do to find out of the Demo, pre-order, Titanic's fate, and see if the successful Dover-Calais Campaign is mentioned in the website, is wait. Just three more months of waiting from next Monday.

Assuming the date isn't put back anymore...

I say it will be Christmas.., though earlier is better...

Yep..It was a good idea to change the name from SS10 to Extremes, gives them a bit more leeway..
They certainly are pushing our patience to the Extremes.., but it sure looks like it's worth it..  :2thumbs:

Well if it takes two months to do beta testing, I can easily see the release date being pushed back

Well, if the date is being pushed futher back, Vstep is doing that by a reason. So just have patience and it will show up, sooner or later! :)

Alpha testing is being done by the developers themselves; they are familiar with what it is supposed to do.
Most Beta testers will start cold on a simulator that is quite different from the SS 2008 that they are familiar with. This is especially true of the mission system, which is very different. During Beta one can expect new builds as exposed bugs are corrected.
Each new build should be retested more or less from the beginning to see what may have inadvertently changed.

Two months is just a guess on my part, based on about three decades of Betas in various disciplines, but the latest estimate for release seems to indicate that VSTEP is thinking in about the same ballpark.

There are so many replies in here with the word patience, so I think VSTEP should establish their own pill factory producing pills with the name "Patience" :P

I have taken my pills for today, so don't worry! :D

Hi Frank_vstep,

Many thanks for the info re price of SSE, greatly appreciated.
To those who poured scorn on us poor pensioners - obviously no sense of humour in accepting my 'tongue-in-cheek' remark as it stood!!!!  OH well, can't win them all, come to that I can't win any at the moment - THAT's another t-i-c remark guys...................!!!!

Regards

Well, after months of work and preparation of the site in secrecy, it's great to be able to disclose and discuss it with the people that we're making it for in the first place!

So yes, when possible, I'll pop in for some feedback now and then!  ;)
