What is the purpose of having Atlantic ocean and New York North atlantic. They are exactly the same. So why have them?

They are the same, just different names I would assume, I think all the ocean environments are the same thing.

They are not exactly the same. One is closer to New York. Having two Atlantic oceans allows a longer mission to New York. In earlier versions, you could not re-enter an environment that you just left. In fact, it was necessary to cycle through three different environments.
Now, ocean environments can be used recursively, allowing for missions lasting 24 hours or more.

MVSmith has got it right there, although if you were to cross the atlantic it would more like 6 days, not 24 hours.

He he, Very true Terry.

I was just talking about going on a ship across the atlantic, not by air
