Hi there, posted this in the small talk forum but thought this might be a better place. I paid yesterday, got a payment receipt but have not recv'd a key or download info. I also sent an email for assistance a few hours ago but haven't heard anything on that either so I am concerned my email might be blocking it.
Can anyone assist?

hey mark i 've notice me and the other member have comcast for email maybe there something with that try another email for me to please it is jackieherrera@marykay.com

Comcast will not accept e-mail from certain ISP's. It has something to do with a reverse DNS lookup failure so it bounces. Other vendors have had the same issue because Comcast claims they can not verify the senders address.
Best to try our alternate addresses, I sent an email,

I have to wait till monday? I bought it yesterday and I can even send you a bank statement saying it was paid for. Why do I have to wait? I buy it and I have to wait four days to download it? Can someone explain that to me?

The email message explained exactly why I can not help you at this time. There are limits to what I can do from home.
Mark, if you read this please explain to me why I am the only one waiting four days to get it!!! psolk and will got theirs'. why can't I get mine!!!

So I guess this means I have to wait until Monday as well. Too bad by then it is back to work and the real world and the weekend I had to enjoy it is gone.

I just got my license key and download link thanks to Mark!!! The issue was email addresses.
Be careful if you have a Comcast E-mail from the states. Comcast rejects a lot of emails so try to give a backup email just in case but go ahead and just use your CC to purchase in Euros and it will get converted.

I'm not sure exactly how Comcast works, but most ISP's provide you with webmail access, here you can remove the filters for your emails if your ISP allows it ;)
This would prevent emails being rejected ;)

Hey DJM,
The problem is that the emails never even get to the filters. Certain ISP's fail the reverse DNS lookup that Comcast performs and as an end user you never even know there was an email to begin with. Comcast claims it is a security check but I would prefer that everything got through and they let me decide.
*.shipsim.com is in my trusted address book but if the ISP does not meet the requirements of Comcast it doesn't make a difference,

Seems a little over the top to me. As you say, the user should decide, especially if it's causing rejections to emails you want AND trust....not a good situation :o

it is normal to wait some hours for a mail after buying the game? i bought it earlier today, and still recieved nothing.My email is hallotoft@hotmail.com

In the near future customers will be able to see their orders and download information just by logging in on the website.

Well if I had an ISP that made it so difficult to receive an email then I doubt I would stay with them. Is this the ONLY problem theyve had with their ISP? Unlikely.

Comcast said for VStep (or perhaps your billing agent) to send an email to:
blacklist_comcastnet@cable.comcast.com
in order to request to be removed from their spam blacklist

I made the order yesterday, and the money is "reserved" on my bank account, but I never got any mail att all. Is there something wrong? Do I have to order again? :-\

Everyone not receiving their download link email message can also go to ShipSim.com, click the "My orders" button in the top-right corner, login and you will see all download links and license keys for products bought on ShipSim.com
If your order is not in that list, even though you completed your order and payment, please use the "Contact us" form also on the website.

The e-mail provider IS checking the Reverse DNS, because it is a anti-spam tactic.
Now it is a harder to send mail from a domain which you doesn't own, or are not authorised to send from it, via another mailserver than allowed.
Best Solution: Search another E-mail provider ór both parties have to configure their rDNS well.
