I've used it for 10 years.. Still, I'll wait for the automatic update, in case any bugs show up.
(think I might miss 3.6 :)

Unfortunately FF 4 does not support the "Kaspersky URL Advisor" feature and I chose to roll back to 3.6.16
For die hard Internet Explorer users. IE 9 is already out
-
I wouldn't know about that..I use the WOT (Web of Trust) add-on in Firefox.. :)

You're welcome.. It's the best thing since sliced bread.. ;)
You bet ! ...... now we can "loaf" around the Web safely !! ;D ;D
-
Not entirely, but it warns us of unreliable sites.. :)
-
My installation failled do to a hang-up during the 2 nd part of upgrading / launching !
Tried 4 times now with different downloads of the Firefox setup file, any thoughts!?
-
Are you doing this from IE..? Maybe it's a Firewall issue..
-
No I have Firefox for years now , Updates automaticly . :)
New versions to download and install / no problems before ! ???
Download and install went well, but a freeze came after the launch the new version
There will be checks for Java , I think its went wrong there !
Installed 3.5. . again (working fine), tried a the new one few times:
NO GO, for the new 4 version !
-
I would wait for the automatic update..
In the meantime, check if you have old versions of Java and remove them..
-
This new version will not update automaticly ! ;D
Java is recently updated, so best thing is wait a week and try again , huh !? 8)
Maybe others have the same problems and it will be replaced then ! :-\
-
Java does not overwrite older versions, you must remove them manually..(in Configuration-Software)
Have you tried the official Firefox site..?

THX, Saltydog,
I stumbled on an article about Firewall / I'll try that first ::)
Update:
That wasn't the problem ! / Firewall is controled in Windows Security Centre ! Program was allowed acces
I have AVG 10 now, there is no directions for that program related to Firefox 4 yet !
Tested the java install; all fine / latest version / up and running / no old versions were found !?
Any new suggestions !? ;D
-
Have you checked the Mozilla site..? :)
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Updating%20Firefox?s=Search+Firefox+Help&as=s
-
Yep, even saw it in Dutch ! / Did all the most likely options !
Result sofar : NONE / I reinstalled 3.5 + update to .18, witch works again ! :P
And I read the (Dutch) Morzillaforum, where there is more people like me, to have the problem. :o
Their answer / solution is not working though ! >:(
THX, for the assistance sofar !
-
You're welcome.. :) Let's hope the auto-update solves it.. :)
-
OK, I have Firefox 4
I found the Firefox 3 was very unstable - I got "stop this script" messages in Hotmail, but this one appears quite good for me
-
I have been using Chromium for the past few years, I used FFX when it first came out, but changed to chromium as it is a bit more lightweight.
-
Firefox 4 looks a whole lot like a mix of Internet Explorer 9 and Google Chrome. Will take some time to get use to.
-
Fortunatly there are Personas, so you can 'personalize' the look to some extent.. :)

-
Update: After many retries during these last month's and weeks, with no results; :-\
I downloaded the new setup 4.0.1 today again and guess what !? ::)
. . .Let's hope the auto-update solves it.. :)
It did, it realy did do the job finaly; as I expected, when I was confronted with the problems then. ;D
The upgrading processed well now and the result: a nicely working Morzilla Firefox 4 ! ;)
-
Good news it's finally working..
-
Here's something even more incredible:
FIREFOX 5 IS ALREADY OUT!
:o
-
OMG are ypu serious? :o
-
FIREFOX 5 IS ALREADY OUT! :o
Yep, and it is working fine here too ! ::)
-
I got sevaral noticifications the last few days, also there were alerts that several of my addons were not yet compatibel.. Think I'll wait a bit.. ;)
-
That is indeed a safe strategy ! ::) Some time later works as well ! ;D
-
I like their new rolling release cycle.. :)
Edit:
Yeah, but Matt, Internet Explorer 9 is a joke, and Google Chrome is becoming more than just a web browser. It was a necessary change since these days a lot of people only care about what software looks like rather than how it operates.
-
I just installed FF5, I like it.. ;)
-
Just checked - Firefox 4 was only released in March... :o
Cannot have been much good then
Also shopukld this thread now be Firefox 5 !:)
-
Done.. ;)
-
are it worth to d/l and install?
-
are it worth to d/l and install?
I am avoiding it as it disables Google toolbar ;D
-
I use Chrome nowadays anyway - its the only browser that works on my computer
-
You can have more than one browser on your computer..Try it out.. :)

-
I use Chrome nowadays anyway - its awesome
Fixed that for you buddy.
-
I have three:
Internet Explorer - Every website makes it "crash" and have to restart
Firefox - Slow, and jams (least I think it jams - it did something annoying)
Chrome - works
-
I am avoiding it as it disables Google toolbar ;D
well then i kip IE 9 :) cant live without google toolbar :) BDW i asked about nr 5
-
nr 5 is still in beta, google toolbar isn't included yet..I don't know if that's a bad thing.. :)

No more beta´s; Firefox 6 is expected on august 18 2011 ! ::)
-
I prefer Opera - it's lightweight and fast. Once customized for your needs, it's a pleasure to use. I don't know if the other browsers support sessions as well nowadays, but when I started using Opera, it was the only one to do that.
I never tried the built in mailing feature, because I like OE.
-
Just got a notice that FoxTab (one of my favourite addons) was succesfully installed in Firefox 5.. :)
