Err... No. I was thinking of recruiting some stunningly attractive Polish blondes who seem to live in every EU country now (except Poland)

Well if we get a ship, and we can have some 'Motorway of the Seas' funding...

We just need a name...

maybe:

Ship Sim Ferry Company

How about PO....

Which stands for...

Joking aside, TFM... The money that we are giving to the EU to fund this damned thing,, you could really start a company from scratch... (Not COULD and SHOULD are two different things).

I have shares in an enterprise and the costs are fantastic, but the revenue isn't- hand outs from eu government? money from heaven (or hell, I suppose)

But the Funding is only for a limited time, to get routes moving, I believe, after a time, it is stopped...

3 years

3 years... I didn;t realise it was that long...

LD Lines had a route, Toulouse to Rome, I beleive that had the finding, and a time after they stopped getting funding... bye bye route...

By strange co-incidence most of Superfast's runs lasted for....

3 years

Hmmm.... Did BF get that for PO-SA by any chance?

As you say, it is supposed to be kickstart funding... Not just a bung

I think it is a recent initiative (I may be wrong though)

So is the peeandoooh chaser...

And this has been avilable (or in discussions) for a few years now

Perhaps the gutless directors of pee and oh no should have applied... APPARENTLY British companies ARE entitled to bid for EU funding... Since it was probably Britain that gave this great monstrosity of socialism its funding in the first place.

Say thanks to Diamant & his mighty powers for that then.

Remember - he's still with us & helps us.

Really...

 ::)

Well Maybe Diamant and his magic powers can help get SSE released tomorrow then...

And start up the Ireland-Spain Service

And save the Pride of Bilbao

Sorry, but the allmighty Diamant isn't interested in ferries + he wants a SSE with floating cranes & complete offshore fleet as well as the game without any bugs & undones.  Hence the SSE will be released in June or at any time after that, even in 2011 which is much better.

There is only ONE L in Almighty. Got it? Understand? There is ONLY one L in Almighty.  :P

For any of the 'professionally-offended' this is only a good humoured response to an alegedly good humoured comment about my own spelling. It is in NO WAY intended to offended anyone except the offensive.

Based on the scrap price of steel at the moment (dropped down end 08- good indicator of impending recession) I suppose we could near enough out-bid Alang... if it came to that, which I doubt.

But the reality is that buying the ship is nothing compared to berthing it- even in a 'third world country' (politically incorrect) would charge 10,000 for a spot on an estuary...

So, on this one occasion you will have to take my comment as tongue in cheek.. :( Sorry.
