Captain Harris died in port at St Paul Island, Alaska from a massive stroke on 29 January at age 53.
He will be missed.

That is an awful shame...So young :-\
What will happen to his boat, I wonder..
-
I'd guess his sons would take over, sad, he was one of my favorite captains in the series, certainly had a nice boat.
May he rest in peace.

Tragedy for Cornelia Marie's crew and Phil's family. His ship was a beaut and he had a great fishing career. Rest in Peace Captain Phil Harris.

Truly a shame, I really liked him on the show, but towards the end he did have quite a bit of pain..I hope they take care of his boat, he'd want that.
