Ahh thanks :)

is it nice there then Clanky?

I prefer the Bosporus over the Dardanelles. Specially during the night time, the Bosporus is very beautiful with milllons of lights.

The Dardanelles is 2 way traffic, while the Bosporus is 1 way traffic. I believe they change the direction every 6 or 8 hours, depending on the current which can be very strong and flows from the Black Sea into the Sea of Marmara. Because of the controlled traffic direction, it can be very busy with waiting ships. Waiting for 24 or 36 hours isn't that rare!

Or in the CFL progress' case you get kicked out of the convoy because your too slow, so you wait another 24 hours...

Best songs of all time:

Mull of Kintyre (Paul McCartney/Wings)

Tiny Dancer (Elton John)

Maybie I'm Amazed (Paul McCartney/Wings)

 ;D

Also it's too bad that Niel Armstrong died. Who next? :-\

The best song for that would be Rocket Man by Elton John  :)

Hear hear.. 3 hours stand by.. tut tut tut...  ;D
??? why the tut tut tuit?

BTW it is DardAnelles with an A. Just to be quite correct, or even Canakkale Bogazi in Turkish.

Sorry mum :P

I can see why you ended up as captain and me just a common old clanky!

And TFM, yes, stunning.  Luckily as this is a passenger ship we have a staff chief engineer who does some of the stand-bys as well so occasionally I get to sit on the bridge and drink tea as we go through and it really is very impressive.

The Eastern Med in general is one of my favourite parts of the World, but I will still be glad to go home in 3 weeks time!
