Is it a ferry you are bringing over?

It's a ro-ro, but more of a freighter than a ferry, we are taking her to the US to start a service from Mobil Alabama to Veracruz in Mexico, so not only the drama of a new ship, but US coastguard to deal with as well

Myself and the second engineer are flying out tomorrow, the captain and chief officer are coming later in the week in time for sea trials.

@TFM, yeah, the delivery voyage should be nice and long, they are looking for a voyage charter, there is a possibility that we could actually go westwards and call into a European / African port, I am hoping for a nice slow Eastward crossing of the Pacific though.

Indeed, that is one of the reasons why I would prefer to go East across the Pacific, although I have just been sent an initial stores list for the ship and barbed wire is included!

Generally speaking ro-ro ships are high enough that the Pirates leave them alone in favour of easier prey anyways.

Dover eastern entrance - Boulogne 160Â° (you need to sail a bit eastwards after leaving the breakwaters before you can sail straight to Boulogne)
