Cunard liner - Lusitania
« on: January 06, 2008, 11:01:16 »

Right Before I get into giving boring info about this ship I want to say that If you dont like this vesel (if you think its bad) please just say so and I shall lock the topic and remove the pictures OK? No need for foul language, just say "I dont like it" And next second It shall be gone. I had to close down 2 other of my modells Ynow...

Ok. Here is the boring info...

Lusitania, Cunard liner, was built by Cunard line along with the Maritinia. It was to make its journey which she would never complete... While she was sailing, she fell a victim of the German U-boat, U20. Which fired a torpedo and made the ship list to starboard and sink in just 18 minuits! There were 48 lifeboats, many more then enough to carry everybody but only 2 were successfully lowerd. Sompe people fell out of the lifeboats while being lowed because of the ships list to starboard, some lifeboats fell of the davits (haveing the people in the see boarding it after) about 1319 people died, including about 100 children.

The building of the Lusitania and the Maritinia made White star line (cunards rival) build another three luxury liners called the Titanic, The Gigantic and the Olympic. Two sunk, the other was sent to the ship breakers after White Star Line merged with Cunard... The Gigantic was renamed the "Britannic" after the Titanic's tragedy.

NOTE! THIS MODEL IS NOT FINISHED! THERE ARE A FEW MORE THINGS TO ADD-ON! (ha! Add-on! Geddit? Ship Sim 2006 ADD-ON? AINT FUNNY! ANYWAY I HAVE TO ADD MORE THINGS E.G. BRIDGE AND ANCHOR

Was that boaring? I hope so. Now on to the pictures...

That is you best model yet! Amazing. Well Done! How long did it take?

BTW: You will get better quality images if you go to File - Export - 2D Graphic. It is better than prt Screen ;)

If you do that, we will see the details better! ;D Great!

Hi Captain Titanic,

This is indeed your best model yet, good job!

That 2D Graphic export mentioned is indeed just a picture, it does not copy the file or anything.

Regards,
Fred

Apparently on my sketchUp 2D Graphic it makes a copy of thie file, so does 3D Model!I have like ten thousand copies of the file because of trying! Oh well I just have to stick with the "low quality" pictures eh?

Anyway who likes my Titanic?

a great hint: study as most pictures ever taken, then you can make a object which is almost the same as it was in real, notice the tiny details, correct the shape of the hull, look for video's and pics.
i am working on a 3d ship now, which i don't say the name yet (you may guess) and it will be familliar when i post the pics with some reconizable things on it.

i also work on a 3d titanic and it took me months to had a correct hull, now i can say THAT'S TITANIC!
and i am proud on myself that i could manage it.

follow these hins and you can be a master modeller ;)

btw no bad looking ship though, and exelent if you are new with modelling ;D

Listen person.

In history, no funnel of a ship was black. Espechially Cunards. At that time every Shipping line had colours (like football teams) to represent them. White Star Line was Orange and black, which is why the Titanic and the Olympics funnels were orange and black. Cunards colours were red and black. Ok? and all the ships scince Cunard started until now have funnels painted red and black to represent the Cunard line Its trying to say "THIS SHIP BELONGS TO CUNARD!!!"  But you are right that the funnels were repainted. They were origionally red and black though.

Ok?

Hiya Captain Titanic :)

I'd like to offer a suggestion.  Maybe addressing other members by their chosen username would be more polite, rather than 'Person'.  Also, a little more diplomacy when replying would be nicer too :)

Regards.
