Hi everyone,

i don't know if you have come accross this, but in multiplayer, sometimes random boats appear out of nowhere and follow you, litrally.

(I think i could have been the first person to ever encounter a "Ghost Ship", read below.)

My first sighting of a "Ghost Ship" (thats what i call them) was in Padstow, about a week after buying New Horizons, then about 3 weeks later, i was in Marseille with the Bugsier and a huge Ocean Star came out of nowhere and crushed me

and i sank

But, since the new patch, it seems that the amount of "Ghost Ship" sightings have gone sky high! and that 3 or 4 "Ghost Ships" can be seen at one time! i was wondering if anybody here has this problem and if they know what it is caused by and if it will be resolved in the future of SS08.

i have seem many gost ships on mp normaly on player mp servers

I've seen LOTS.

once, 2 of them came charging towards Phi Phi beach and rammed over the pier into some other clones (at 20kn)

I have see them, it makes towing a heck of alot harder. I was towing 3 Ocean Stars at once! then a motorboat clone rammed right into me. (Aliens?)

i hate clone ships as they allways get in the way in make it very hard to drive when you have somtimes 2 or 3 times the mumber of ships

Maybe the Furie was a german u-boat,and its following you to torpedo you?, maybe they are kamikazees or real people trapped in the game that want to get out into the real world? This seems like a contreversial issue

. Not allowed to dwnload furie so cant see the ghost ships myself but looks from NathanC's pic that the ghost ships are all furies, so destroy the furie and destroy the people stranded inside your pc

I was in a Bugsier and was ran over by an Ocean Star, while i was towing another Ocean Star

i hate the ghost ships in MP they always sink me. i control the ship from the bridge so i cant see them if they are behind me

That sounds interesting. Could you start a new topic in "Media" for that? Also, to warn people with slow connections, please include "WARNING - LARGE FILES" or something similar. Then no-one can complain.

Yeah, I saw those. Heh heh.

But if RMS Gigantic is going to post a lot of images, it's best in Media with a warning. Aad The Pirate has done that very sccessfully with Elbe & Furie pictures.

ive come across odd goings on in mp server when someones name is suddenly up in the air and the ship is flying most uncanny i assume its a glitch in the game

i've senn ghost ships,not in multiplayer but in free roaming at rotterdam northsea and bergen north sea.at rotterdam north sea facing northwest at the southeast corner the vermaas is there but not on the charter or radar. at bergen north sea going that same direction but turning south, the sherpa and oil rig are there but not on instruments in the bridge of the rpa12.
