The title is what's commonly known as 'a play on words'.  In this case, it's a mix of Lusitania and Titanic ;)

Just my thoughts, but I don't think that model is broken in two like the Titanic.

As far as I can see, it's probably just made like that on purpose so that you can see the cross-section of the ship and can see the inside layout and the various decks and such.

At least that makes more sense than someone breaking a perfectly good model of a ship in two to imitate the Titanic, right?  ;D  :P
