I read most of the thread, but, I dont know if this was said-
If you have a trusted virus scanner (came with computer, or AVG), and it doesnt show any viruses, but an unknown does, delete it. And if you computer is acting bad or something is wrong, (I read that someone mentioned rootkits), you should download the free AVG rootKit detector. It scans fast for rootkits (RootKit=A Virus that makes itself look like a system file, so virus scanners dont check it.), tells if theres any, and it lets you rid them. I have AVG scan me for viruses and rootkits every week, few here and there, rid them, then im fine.
