Is this the plan of hangsim... take over vstep by stealth.

I think when I get time I'm going to go on the vs forum and open up a ss thread  ;D
I Have tryed that Stuard me topic has been removed and that in less and 1 hour.
what is the meaning to all this add about the simulator i not will say the name of anymore, but shall we go and post a hug of pictures and promo for ship sim 2008 and NH on Hangsim forum?

Maybe. maybe not...  :-\

The problem is that whilst ss is overall a more professional product, I think people are ignoring the developments at vs too much.

Have a look at the home made ships. Most are total ****, but many are not. Personally I think the dynamics are better than people give it credit for AND you can modify them.

I repeat (in case Mr Wout gets ulcers) that ss is still a more polished product, but vstep should ignore vs at its own peril!

About the deleted topics: one VS topic is fine, two is near the edge. This is not a virtual sailer forum, you can find those elsewhere. We like to keep the focus on our own simulator, which is OK as well ;)

Perhaps ONE of the threads could be used for VS discussion such as this one. And one only, which is sensible.

The point *I* was trying to make is that awareness of ones competitors is ALWAYS a good thing. This blind belief in ONE product (either) being perfect and the opponent totally awful is not good- which I think is how most people see it.

Acknowledging the good points of a competitor (by devs and users) should serv to motivate everyone and NOT be seen as a weakness. IMHO
