I actually saw a car here with the steering wheel on the right, dad and I were behind it and though, where is the driver of that car!!! Since there was no head poking up on the left (correct) side. :)

I don't know that there is any such thing. With the many hundreds of millions of Americans, there is just about any mix you can think of. My wife, for example has/had an English Grandfather, a Grandmother descended from the Plymouth bunch, and the other grandparents were of Dutch descent.

On the other hand, her best friend is 50% Apache descent and 50% Scottish. (I stood in for her deceased father and gave her away at her wedding, which she had a Stratford-upon-Avon. I had to give her away because no-one would pay money).

So, "typical" is probably without meaning here.

"typical" in that context meant a random mixture of seemingly endless nationalities...........

But then, that's true of any person in any country.

Although I am apparently a fairly Anglo set of Anglo Saxon, like most UK nationals, I have ancestors from Ireland, Scotland, Wales and even Portsmouth. Plus, the Romans lived here for 400 years, and before them there were at least two distinct waves of Celts who seemed to have arrived from France and Belgium. No idea where they came from before that.

Then, in earlier times, the Phoenecians used to come to Brittain to get tin. More than a few of them left their genes in the pool (or perhaps they left their jeans in the pool, when they washed them?).

And...

So it goes on.  ;)

Spirit of Vancouver Island, BC Ferries: Heavy fog, loading unloading traffic at Tsawassen Terminal Berth #5, early December 2007 for the 1700 sailing to Swartz Bay (Victoria). View is from one of the many ramps at the terminal. The sun was coming down and the light hit the ship just right!
