It is beautiful. However, i must warn you, do not make the model too complex for the average computer - otherwise we will all get a sea of complaints regarding the vessel and the game will just bog down when the ship is present n both single player and multiplayer modes.

well i think if anyone here has the averadge computer tis me. :D And I think it should be able to handle it. And just becuase virtual sailor already has a vessel like this dosen't mean that shipsim shouldn't take it and put in a better one. And I would rather have shipsim over virtual sailor even if it crashes more often.

It’s already complex and have about 80.000 polygons and made for single player only and is less than the huge Titanic model containing 800.000 polygons or something like that. :)

The multiplayer level limit of 40.000 polygons would force me to simplify the model a lot and it would become very sparse. I’m not going to simplify it for multiplayer level.
So thanks for warning me, but I’m sure the “average system” (whatever that is?) will handle this container ship perfectly on single player level. Of course this needs to be tested anyway. But there is a huge difference between the 80.000 and 800.000.  ;)

My add-ons become more on the level of Titanic, and that will be the kind of add-ons I’m working with.
Other developers do what they want…. This is add-ons, not fixed part that follows the game (or add-ons would be the wrong name). ;D

Well, I am saying that we, and the NVDG, is out to work as a collaborative TEAM to work on developing vessels, "add-ons", for Ship Simulator that will work fine for everyone. Of course, if someone can play the game they need to meet minimum system specs, however, it is a good effort to insure the vessels are playable both on and offline.

Regarding Titanic - I have heard many people do not play her due to both system demands and of course she is a challange to handle.

Understand, I am not here to argue or insult you. I am telling you what I would like to see here. I am also just trying to insure add-ons are made that everyone can enjoy.

And you are right, people can make their add-ons as they wish . . . However, there is a guideline VStep recommends for platform optomization and therefore maintaining overall a good level of playability.

Also, in the future, when one of the devs or mods, including myself, we would all appreciate it if you were not giving a sense of hostility. It is not the point of this forum and is not appreciated. We are all a team here working to one goal. So lets act like it.

Indeed, great work. I would like to see a shot looking out from the bridge looking to the bow so we can get the sense of the grand scale of the ship.

Good point, indeed. I would like to see a mission where you can load the vessel in one mission, sail her, then dock her up and unload the cargo.
