try to press up key. or go to settings by pressing F9 button. and choose Controls and see how you driving the ship. can you take a picture when you is going to driv. press F7. then  exit the game and go to this reply and choose additional options... . then choose My Documents and choose ShipSim2008 UserData and press picture then upload it here. here a picture that is guiding you to upload the picture.  :)

Hi WeirdEars,
We need to know what you are doing so that we can tell what you may be doing wrong.
Are you in a mission, or are you in free roam? If a mission, tell us the exact title of the mission.
Make sure the Titanic is not tied up to the dock:
In the external view (press the 1 key above the keyboard) click the Moorage icon in the lower right corner. Mooring lines will show red circles with Xs in them. Click the red marks to cast off.

You should see two controls in the lower left of the screen: A pair of throttles control the two outer screws. Use the mouse to push them all the way forward. In the HUD display across the top of the screen, you should see both RPM readings go to 75.

Titanic should begin to move forward slowly and the “Speed over ground” reading in the Hud should begin to increase. It takes a long time to get her moving. It may be about 20 seconds before the speed indicator begins to increase, and about 65 seconds to reach 2 knots.

Let us know how you make out.

How long have you waited after putting the engines up to full power?  The Titanic is a huge ship with small props,, takes FOREVER to start moving but she has a nice top speed once she finally gets there

Never mind, I just went on and noticed the titanic doesn't have engine controls.

Is your PC to specs?
