I read a comment somewhere that like another cruise ship that sank in the 90s that the plumbing was to blame and that non return valves were not fitted- so water worked its way up the plumbing, basically sinking it through the toilets.

Of course, that is speculation as no cause has been established.

Hey!they should make the "Explorer" for SS08 to honor her last voyage on the sea and a mission to go along with it.... and give it its original horn, with it sound she'll bring that voyage in no time...

Only three weeks later, the brand new Hurtigruten vessel "Fram" hits an iceberg! Following to a black out, the Norwegian cruise liner drifted against the ice, but almost without any damage. After restarting the engines, the "Fram" calls at an Antarctic military base for an expection. Nobody was injured and everything seems to be fine aboard now...

Hey, that a good point there mvsmith...still she seem to have some technical problems that were ignored...sadly this is what happens when people ignore even the smallest problems.

That ship was built to withstand ice when it when it hit the newspaper it said "TITANIC" ship sinks after hiting ice its good people didn't die if they did it would be disater.
