Solar Eclipse this Friday!
« on: March 16, 2015, 20:40:40 »

Hello all,
Thought you'll all be interested to know that on Friday the 20 March there is a Solar eclipse happening in Northern Europe. A solar eclipse is when the moon covers the sun. Here is what it should look like:

The best place to see it is Scotland or as far north as possible - Here is a map of the expected coverage:

To view the eclipse you will need equipment to  see the eclipse without frying your retina. A pinhole projector should work: Here are the instructions (http://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/make-pinhole-projector.html)
Missing It? The next one is 2026! There is also a Luna eclipse happening afterwards!  I am actually exited for this!  :2thumbs: How about you?

It was very cloudy in the Netherlands as well. It simply looked as if it was a rainy day and there were dark clouds around.  ::) The whole week it was sunny with a blue sky... why not on friday? WHY!? *Dramatic theme*

Btw, great shots Danny!
