screen freezes
« on: February 21, 2014, 22:46:22 »

I still play SS 2008 every once in a while but today while scrolling down to through the missions the screen froze solid even more that the winter we are having, I have never had this happen before.

Could this have some thing to do with my drivers for the graphic card?.

Hello sirpeter1,
When you open the game you should click on "Play" then "Custom missions". A list of missions which is available to download will appear. Choose a mission you like and click on it in the list and on the right will appear a message saying "download mission". click on that and voila the mission will download for you. This might sound a little obvious but you ARE connected to the internet aren't you? if you do not have a little symbol in top right of screen with your username and "online" showing go to "Profile" and enter your details there. See my picture.

Regards,
Angus.

Hello Angus, I appreciate your reply.  I remain on the net 24/7.
So I followed your advice and when I got to custom missions, but did not get a list.  My choice was downloads.  I went to available missions.  There I get error your licence key is not registered in Forum.

I did enter my key when I downloaded the program.  I have looked in forum but can find no location to enter the key?  Can you help.  The forum is a large and complicated forum and it is easy to get lost in it.
Regards

Gentlemen, I went to my profile but could find no place to enter my key.
As it seems I am now a registered member, perhaps my key is already in?
However I still get the error message.
Any other ideas.  I have re-installed the program.

Thank you fro your interest

Hi Peter,
See the picture below. It shows where to register your licence key in your Profile. You are obviously not registered yet as you do not have the five SS2008 symbols below your username in your posts. If you scroll down even further you can download the heavy lift ship "Jumbo Javelin". Ignore some of the stuff on the left as you will not have all that showing. Most of it is there because of my position as Global Moderator and Custom Mission Manager (CMM).
