Who says Moderators can ban? - I don't know the Permissions of this forum.

Permissions by default don't allow moderators to ban (On SMF)..People can be banned on reccomendation of a Moderator/Staff member, which is then passed to the administrator for sentencing...

Like Judge and Jury...

As I recall, a moderator can impose a ban on his own, but that is subject to a subsequent review and possible modification by an administrator or another moderator.

Dave, you could answer this question for us by banning Jack to see what happens.
