Environment Creation - is it TOO hard?
« on: May 04, 2012, 21:01:09 »

Hi

With The recent announcement of Travemunde not being placed into SSE, I was wondering, has VSTEP made environments too complicated?

I will now commit the ultimate sin and Compare to another simulator... in this case Railworks.

Now Railworks has a simple method, the land itself is there and you place the buildings and structures onto it. the land can be raised, lowered etc to fit properly. Railworks can also produce a route in a matter of weeks - in fact it has the ability for users to create their own routes.

Now I don't know what VSTEP do, but it seems that it has been overcomplicated, especially as the SS environment has more water then land,
