The tone on this board
« on: May 21, 2007, 20:47:12 »

I've noticed twice today only that there seem to be disrespectful talking/answering on the board; joking about accidents where people was killed, telling others they are idiots, etc....

Why don't we all agree to keep a polite voice? I'm sure everybody can be understood what you mean even if we respect each other.

And if you find it hard to behave nicely, just keep your silence and everybody will be happy  :)

I have never seen anything like that on this forum, just polite and respectful decussions about some ships which have sadly gone.

Guess its not helpful to repeat that stuff. Within a community of more than 10.000 users, you will always find somebody breaking the rules of civilized communication. I prefer to ignore it... ;)

May I suggest next time, you PM the individual users and advise them to tone it down a notch. Not create a whole forum topic. ;)

The whole point in forums is to have your say on something. If you really think someone is an idiot then say it. :D

Some people are overreacting and some people (especially the younger ones) should watch there mouth.

In every forum there are things like these, it was even worse on the first forum.

But you shouldn't laugh with death or anyting like that.

I request this topic to be closed. All this discussing will lead to nothing.

One last request from me as admin then: if you encounter anything which you find offensive or anything like that, please use this little button: 'report to moderator'. It is below every single post for a reason. When you click the button, a moderator will guaranteed take a look at the post and will do something about it when necessary. The button doesn't bite, neither do we bite anyone who is nice enough to help us keep the forum nice. Moderators can't read everything, and that's where we ask the help from you.

I'll leave the discussion open by the way, so you can think further about the subject if you wish :)

PS. CCR-lover, thanks for addressing the matter :)
