Missions Requests
« on: January 04, 2012, 14:26:21 »

Hello all,

I was wondering if there seems to be any types of missions missing that someone would like. I am going to try to build one (built one for 2008 but it didn't work, trying again).

If you begin to experiment with the Mission Editor, be careful that you do not Upload any mission that you have not completed and fully tested. That sends the mission to the Custom Missions Managers for examination for possible inclusion in the download list.
The CMMs get many junk “missions” uploaded through carelessness or the erroneous idea that Uploading is necessary in order for the creator to run his mission.

I suggest that you first read all of the bold blue topics on the Missions board and study the Mission Editor Notes.

The Extremes mission system is a whole ‘nother ballgame; if you struck out in ’08, you have little chance of getting to first base in Extremes.

What an awful thing to say.  There is nothing like a little encouragement, and belive me, that was nothing like a little encouragement.

I hope evyse designs a successful mission just to see you eat your words.

Hi
What Marty said is not awful just a statement of fact compared to 2008
the mission editor in Extremes is very different and hard to understand.
So if he has not understood the workings of the 2008 editor he has little
chance of fully understanding Extremes.
We do help and support those who ask about it I for one like Marty give
support if asked because very few members if you look have submitted
missions for you to play this alone should tell you how complex the editor is.

That may be the case, but there are better ways of putting it (less blunt) especially as there is an active topic about bad manners at the moment.  Besides that, a lot of assumptions are being made about evyse´s abillity.  who is anybody to say on this public forum that creating a mission in SSE is too difficult for an individual.  The OP was not looking for advise on how to make a mission, but was mearly asking for suggestions/inspiration.

Step by step, day by day it's not too bad. Once I am done reading every document about it then I can drop a ship somewhere and post a message.

Are there people that provide development feedback? I noted that you upload to the site and a CMM verifies that it is ready-to-roll.
