Going with how Rockstar have announced GTA in the past, its always been first announced roughly a year before release, so I would expect this game to come out in autumn 2012.

This is good news though, the biggest game that is made here in the UK by far, and very good for the UK's game industry.

Made in the UK? Errrm, I don't think Rockstar make the GTA series in the UK. I was always under the impression that it was created in the USA.

Please correct me if I am misunderstanding something though, please! :D

Rockstar Games is a major video game developer and publisher based in New York City, owned by Take-Two Interactive.

 ;)

Although I also found this on Wikipedia.

Quote
Rockstar Lincoln (formerly Tarantula Studios), located in Lincoln, England, is Rockstar Games' dedicated quality assurance and software localisation studio, responsible for game testing and translating games developed by Rockstar.[

Right, in that case, rockstar USA develop the games, and we here in the UK are responsible for making sure the game meets all required standards, not just for the game itself, but for the market it will be released in.

Thanks for clearing that up VS! :)

Rockstar North which is based in Scotland is the games studio where GTA, and every single GTA to date infact, has been made, and every single GTA to be made will probably be made.

It's 'their' game so to speak. I know that when GTA IV was ported to PC, it was sent over to the Rockstar Toronto studios so they could do the port.

The same studio started making GTA before they were part of Rockstar.

GTA is a British game through and through.
It's no secret in the games world that GTA is made in the UK, its pretty general knowledge,...or so I thought.

Heres an interesting video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXJMG_PPZ_Q

Just because most of them are set in the USA does not mean they are made there too.

Required Standards...? That series has standards?

Mindless Violence?... Check
Killing Sprees?... Check
Mad Drivers?... Check

I love driving round mowing people down, shooting anything that moves, and blowing stuff up.

I would not do it in real life, however I get satisfaction and enjoyment from doing it in a virtual world.

Great game, concept and story. Fantastic graphics and animation!
I love the 'half life' generation game technology! It builds my future customers, the chronic psychopaths! I'm a shrink. Lucky the ones who can peek a look at their code.
