Well, Silent Hunter is a sort of ship simulator? And as far as I know, I do not know any.

If many computers can't play SSE then why would a little handheld device with a 1Ghz CPU, 500Mb of RAM and a graphics card that burns your hand when you play angry birds be able to cope?

Dexter you should know, your PC can only just cope with and that i'm sure it is a fair bit better than any Iphone/Ipod or Pad. Sure in the future it may be possible when the handheld devices become stronger and the games become less dependant on the hardware (which is quite unlikely) however at the moment you just have to stick with what we've got .

When you do finnaly get to Pluto, if it's within our age can you get me a piccy?  ;D

Sure, let me just find a device where I can beam myself.
That would be another great addition to a future handheld device.  ;D

Hi!
I know it has been a looong time since this topic was posted in, I even have a message saying 'this topic has not been posted in for at least 120 days. Are you sure you want to post here?'. But anyway, if you want a decent ship sim app for iPod/Ipad, try Battleship Craft. It isn't the most detailed in the game, and the developers rarely update it, but basically, you can build your own ships out of different types of blocks and other features, such as masts and guns etc. Then you can complete missions or go online and battle other players ships. Have a look on their FB page for more details. Like I said, it isn't the most detailed or fun games in the world, but it is ok for an iPod/ iPad. Ship Sim Extremes is definitely a lot better.

hi
top tip Aslas - its not cool to take topics out of the dept (its frowned apon)   8)
but me and some freinds are looking into a shipping game for iPad and mac - were not taking too much intresst in the iPhone or iPod due to the smaller screensize. We are currently having issues that nobody has a mac (tiny issue - but we are getting macbooks soon hopefuly), a decent enviroment is mamouth on the storage (our target is to have it under 1GB) and were struggling to fit ONE in. We are also facing issues with AI and ideas for ships - we currenntly have a small boat, a speed boat and a ship. we dont have enough expertese. were looking at going open source to make this game though.
if you can help us in any way can you PM me. thanks

2. RHIB
3. Cargo Ship
4. Catamaran
5. Ferry
6. Tugboat
7. Titanic?

Hope you like these!
