Not only is she going to hit the water by 2016, She's going to be escorted by the Chinese navy from her shipbuilders yard to london. The Royal navy and USN Will be invited to escourt her across the atlantic, with the RN taking the Southampton to NYC leg, and the USN doing the return Journey.

Don't think the Royal Navy have enough ships left to be escorting passenger ships around the oceans and even if they did then they probably couldn't afford the fuel!

I ask me, why need the Titanic II an escort from the navy for the journey? Will be, that the quality of this chinese ship is so bad? Its better to have an escort? Next newsletter in 2015: Captain Schettino is the new Commander of the Titanic II.

Noone of the other Cruiseliner need an escort.

I gotta good one...what if ship sim came out with a game featuring boats never made into production (Titanic II), or forgotten boats (Britannic I and II)? always wondered how was it to maneuver a diesel-electric ship or what it felt like... any comments?

but how would she moor in cities like New York or San Fransisco where you have to pass under a bridge to enter? wouldn't those huge masts/sails get in the way?

plus only four lifeboats seems too few for a cruise ship that size.

Yes, she runs on battery power alone, fully solar powered.

She wouldn't go to ports where she had to pass under a bridge.

Those are the tenders for taking passengers ashore, as well as these there would most likely be a marine evacuation system using slides and rafts.
