Ships and boats available to sail in flight sim
« on: September 22, 2007, 17:43:31 »

These are a small collection of ships and boats that are freeware and readily availabe to sail on the seas of flight sim. Sailing ships and boats is becoming more popular in the sim as is seeing ai ships sailing around as you fly. Most of the sailable ships now are complete wioth detailed and working bridges and consoles.

You can't yet but that might be possible in the future... who knows? Actually I think some of them are great models.

Yes you can steer them. But it is kind of like taxing with a plane. ;)

Greetings,
Yes,they are nice made, however the vessels of Vstep are more better.Dut think that has to do with the game itself, they are more concentrated on airplanes, shipsim is more for vessels. That's the reason that the movement of the vessels in flightsim,is not realistic.
For me the outside of the vessel counts, but the dynamics are for me more importent.
I had the flightsim2002 version on my computer, and i have uninstalled it,i dont like airplains.

I'm sure vstep could add airplanes into shipsim, if they so wished. But without serious implementation, they would be small, airborne boats and probably handle closer to boats than aircraft.

Likewise, ms has done the reverse by putting ships into msfs. But as already said, I don't imagine the realism being all that good compared to ss.
