New Horn's An Unofficial freeware Add-on for SSE
« on: March 19, 2011, 06:48:22 »

Working on some new horns for SSE because the current ones a budget. Most of the sounds will be familiar from SS08, that's precisely what most of them will come from. It looks like SSE defendant has a different structure from SS08 and It will be tricky-er but should be no problem. I can't have that much patience until someone from VSTEP has time to do some tweaks then I wake up that they don't sounds realistic enough, so just gonna do this little bit to save some time so VSTEP can focus on more important things.

Hoy,
Yes, you're right, some of the horns are sounding pretty poor.
I think to create a nice sound is to sample a real hornsound,by using a sampler.Or if you are realy creative, use a synthesizer.
Than you have to play with the A.D.S.R (Attack,Decay,Sustain,Release).I remember when i had my sythesizer(JX8P)from Roland, i even created a perfect helicoptersound.
Maybe we can find some member who is willing to take time to create sounds for the different vessels.
Dont get me wrong, it takes time to create a perfect sound. It took me to create that helisound some houres, believe me.
Regards
Marc

Or you can use a MiniMoog synthesizer for creating horn sounds.
