1. Sydney - because I have been there on a frequent service from the United States via New Zeeland...
2. Ã–resund area - from the Baltic Sea up to Kullen with Copenhagen, MalmÃ¶, Landskrona, HelsingÃ¶r, Helsingborg...
3. Stockholm - with access to the Baltic Sea...

Plymouth sound :
have you seen the turn at drakes island that all the navy traffic has to make , then followed by the oh so helpful narrows , not to metion all the comercail traffic comcing in and out of the rive plym , whilst avoiding every yacht in sight because they couldnt see you there

That's a good choice... but I doubt it would happen unless they could be pursuaded to put military ships in it.

As for yachts... I'm sorry, but if they're too stupid to see a great big warship coming up on them, then it gets their dna out of the gene pool of society... qed

Hi there I just read this topic subject and comments and I would put my part into this topic.

I would like to see the following in either on a online downloadable patch or a new expansion pack.

1. Scotland / Glasgow's River Clyde / Scotland's West Coast
2. Dubai, United Arab Emirates
3. Norway / Sweden / Bergen
4. Stranrear, Scotland - Belfast, Northern Ireland

5. At some point I would like every single port and harbour that is posible in the world.
6. Who can not forget Dover and Hull harbours/ports.

Please note that I would not like the idea of naval base locations on Shipsim 2008.

I would love to have Stockholm, maybe Tallin and the baltic sea.(Allso Helsingfors/Helsinki if possible)
Would allso be fun to have GÃ¶teborg-Karlskrona, and denmark area

Pearl Harbour, Shanghai Deep ocean port 32 km out to sea, phi phi islands with a pontoon longer than 2 milimetres, singapore, tokyo and many many more......... I'll vocie them when i have time!

Dunno if someone sayd it already, bt VEnice would be a good trial for u all.. definetly a difficult port... to do it by real!

Venice sounds nice! Or Napoli so you at least can take barges with a lot of garbage from the mafias

Why is not possible to make the game like MS Flight Simulator? Explorable world seas -i think it's gonnabe easier than the landscape of the world in a flight sim-, moddable ships, user made addons (ships,harbors) etc...

Anyway some Mediterranean ports, Trieste for example?

Because MS Flight Simulator wasn't made within 2 years. Beside of that VSTEP would need a lot of resources and world data to make such stuff (because I don't think that Microsoft would give them the game engine of MS Flight Simulator for free..). Besides of this - it's extremely complicated to make a round Earth in the game. In Ship Simulator it all rest on a planar surface.

The game development world is much harder than you know

i like the fact that the atlantic ocean is only 10 miles across in the game

Having done it many times as skipper and also privately, I would wet myself to have the tidal Thames from the Royal Docks/Thames Barrier to Tower Pier/London Eye/Westminster Pier.

I would love to see all of Condor Ferries ports that they travel to as i have been on this lots of times and believe everbody would love this
failing this i would love to see the east sid of the channel island of guernsey and all of a small island west of guernsey called herm
running between these two is a ferry service called travel trident
this would be so amazing in game and i would love you for it

Hey tomvidelo! I live in Guernsey and I mentioned that I wanted Condor Ferries on this as well. I hadn't thought of theTrident though. Maybe a 2 vessel mission - one from Weymouth or Poole on Condor and then to Herm with the trident!!!
