Anyone mention Hong Kong container terminal? It is one of the biggest and busiest port in the world. Crossing the Victoria Harbour can be awesome as well ::)

Agree, Hong Kong Scenery could be very interesting! I suggest to build Hong Kong , Macau and Pearl Delta scenery (with Jetfoil and Austal built Catamaran)

I would like to see some routes with locks, e.g. the Rhone Rover in France or the Panama Canal. If the Rhone, then I would also like to see some of the 110 m cruise boats specially built for this environment, like the River Royale, e.g. (Uniworld built in Arnhem, NL). If the Panama, then we need a Panamax container carrier, no doubt!!

Helsinki. :)
This port is challenging having the  Kustaanmiekka  (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kustaanmiekka) (wikipedia-link. look at the Mariella-picture).
That is one  narrow  (http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=60.145265,25.000248&spn=0.061954,0.160675&t=k&z=13&om=1) passage (google maps).

All the ships must go through that at this moment, but new harbour for containers and tankers are going to be opened in a year, which is not a surprise. :D
The main port for cruiseships is also very tight place.
Here is more better picture (again, googlemaps). Marseille is very popular in MP being so compact, this shows you how utterly compact Port of Helsinki (http://www.portofhelsinki.fi/english/) is:

Thanks for your comments :)
I made little correction to the pic, showing the real line to the port, not the one google made up. :)

Had another thought - I know I've mentioned the Humber but to make it better would be Immingham amd Hull docks and having to lock in to the dock!!  :) Seen it done many, many thimes in real life so would be good to have a go myself!!! ;D

For all of us Canadians I would enjoy Vancouver north up the coast to Alaska and/or up the Saint Laurence into the Great Lakes.

Thanks

Well I would enjoy numerous different enviroments. Now What I would like is the same thing that you can do in Flight Sim just fly around the world openingly, I guess THis will take some Time to create as obviously it would take a hell of a lot longer to do this in a ship. There will obviously be some obstacles in the way the shere size of the map would probably take a lot of time to load up. However it would be nice if VSTEP could release different enviroments in different sizes. For example:

South England
North England
Scotland
Wales
Ireland
Northen Europe
Asia
etc etc you get the picture (I hope)

If VSTEP was to release these in seperate packs then everyone could buy what area they would like to play in. It would make Ship sim A truly brilliant Simulator not that it is already.

I'm all for realism as its the way forward, so to be honest any enviroment with real life scenary is welcomed on my ship sim

I would love to see Boston, which could be connected to New York. I would also love to see the Puget sound area including Seattle and Victoria, maybe even to Vancouver.  Talk about being able to spend weeks sailing in one area.
