As I live in South Wales UK. I would like to see the Bristol Channel, as this has Swansea, Cardiff, Barry, Newport, Bristol and Gloucester docks. The last two being quite difficult to get at due to the tides and that the river access into them is difficult.

Panama canal would be great. But you need the save game function for that, otherwise you will be playing a mimimum of 14 hours to get through it.  ;)

Plus if you modelled Melbourne in Victoria and Devonport in Tasmania you could run through Bass Strait which are some of the roughest and toughest waters to cross in the world :D

The coasts and sounds of Denmark. The distances are small and the waters can be a navigational challenge, and there are a lots of harbours to sail between.

Personally I'm happy with the middle of the Atlantic... At least then I can manage to avoid hitting things... Even with the eagle ;)

Pireaus Port in Greece would be fine. Too many facilities such as Shipyards, Container, Ro-Ro, Cement, Passenger terminals, Oil refinaries, Naval bases, Natural gas facility, Ferry lines, Yacht Marinas, Traffic Separation Scheme, Strait, Anchorage everything within a 20 to 30 miles area. Approximate position at Google Earth:"Salamis" lat=37.961257, lon=23.506078. You can take a look at the attached pictures(if you can't see them, right click and save target as, or goto   http://rapidshare.com/users/7BR694 to see them and many more). I'm a Captain living nearby and can provide more info if needed.

I love Greece, it my favourite holliday destination, I allways go to Kos  :)

Pireaus is a good suggestion, you could play with all kinds of Ferry's and hydrofoils and hop by all the islands the scenery is lovely in the Agean sea, Greek navy has also some nice ships (ex Dutch Royal navy S-Class frigates) :)

Me as a Norwegian would like to see Bergen harbour. Virtual Sailor made an area that was called Norway South. Of course it was not completely detailed, but the most populated places had some nice details. Stavanger, Haugesund is harbours I would like to see in the future.

I would like to see the whole coastline of europe, but, it would be very very undetailed, so it won't take very much time to build it, and then put the very detailed harbours in it. This way a long distance route like Hamburg-Rotterdam is possible. Together with a simulation rate button (like you can change it in flightsim for example) would be really cool...maybe I'm asking to much, forgive me  ;D

Cheers,

Obviously a lot of Norwegians have bought this game, the developers should keep this in mind if they plan to release new ports ;)

My dream would be one or several Norwegian ports, like the western coast as you mention. They would be excellent in missions involving the oil rig for example. Or simply moving around with a local ferry.

ummm i have an idea for a simulator....world map... drive the ship around the world on all the seas and some of the bigger harbours in the game...the texture of the land isn't important or the detail and scale of it is just an idea which is hard to make but i think it would be cool to drive the ship across atlantic or other oceans...seas get into storms and bad weather and trad ethe cargo from one part of the world to another like a real simulator ...or transfer passengers across the seas and oceans...
