New User - question regarding patches

Hi All,

I have just ordered Ship Simulator Extremes from Amazon and hope that it will arrive within the next couple of days. Quick question please - I understand that there have been a few patches released since the simulator was originally released - will I need to download these patches after installing the Ship Simulator or will Steam automatically handle this for me after installation? I already have Steam installed as I have been running Railworks for some time now.

after you have installed the game and started it go to option menu and see watt build you have, if it say 1.0 then you need patch non steam go here shipsim.com
if you have got a steam version all updats will be downloaded and installed automatic, if you have bought it from v.step www.shipsim.com download version then you also will get the latest build

Just in case anyone else has the same question - it arrived yesterday and I can confirm that Steam automatically installed all updates.
