New Dover-Calais missions! Who is working on?
« on: January 17, 2011, 18:10:20 »

Who makes new Dover-Calais missions with the mission editor? I made a first part for my player ship POR, so far no problem. Later I added some ships into the harbour, up to here everything goes well. Then the problem start, it is almost impossible to play my mission after adding a few AI ships, we talk about five-six AI ships. The Calais-Dover environment is playable when it is empty. This was already the case for the first mission(empty), free-roam(empty) and even after adding additional free-roam AI traffic (still empty)...

On a side note, when the mission editor becomes available (and it will soon) then you can create your own scenario and add realistic AI the way you want it ;)

The mission editor is not a solution for adding more AI ships

... is this the reason for the lack of new missions? It goes fast to create new missions where nothing is in.
Is it not possible to create AI vessels that are less CPU heavy(no detailed bridge, nothing inside...)?

What happens If I remove some environments like Sydney, New York Bora Bora, Marseille...
Will SSE run a bit faster?

I don`t think SSE will faster if your remove ESSENTIAL data.

Maybe I will make a D-C mission.
