Hi,

If you don't like the new grey ship icons on the chart, and prefer the previous black icons (more visible), here's a workaround :

1. Download the attached ChartShip.fx file to a temporary folder on your computer
2. Copy the file to <shipsim root folder>\Projects\ShipSimExtremes\Data\Effects\

Restart the game : You should have the black ship icons back on your chart.

Oke. I also still miss the compass rose at the chart which SS08 does have!

That's a totally different thing

This might come included in a next update.

I was a bit disappointed to see that one's "own vessel" was grey after installing the Update 1.3. Honestly, it was a bit difficult to spot it at times.

I have installed the file you have given and now it's back to "black and beautiful" !!

The black icons are the best, I wonder why SSE devs change the color to grey in the first place.

Hi,
Have changed mine back to black as well works great can see it now and would also like to see a resizable chart if and when the dev has time,as because the Navigation light icons hit the bottom of the cart now.Can just hit the icon off as the dev have added two more buttons which is great.

The update is great and cannot wait till we have some new ships to add to extremes.

Sorry forgot this bit Ps with walkround mode need a reset button as get lost in the ocean star if possible as with shipsim 2008.Also would like to say thanks for all the hard work by all at v step we do understand how hard it is,watched the videos of how to make a simple mission all can say is great job and to all of the mods for all the new missions.

@Timbo: Agree, the update is great but I want to resizable chart too, is not convenient now for only resize the cart by mouse click the + and - button. The transparency bar in the bottom right is not function too. BTW, would be nice if the chart is resizable by the keybord + and - button too!

I have changed my ships on the chart black to black as well.

Good work by V-Step. This version of SSE is MUCH improved.

But why is there no wind speed and direction indicator anymore? Seems silly to have lost it.

Thanks, changed back to black and it has made a big difference to the ingame play.
I must also ask, why did they change it in the first place - old saying in the trades, 'If it ain't broken, don't fix it'.

I will change mine to black also. I'm new to the simulator and don't know if this was mentioned but a pan button would be great so you can pan around th chart since the zooming out all the way doesn't show the whole harbor.
